ดำเนินการวิจัยโดยการเก็บข้อมูลกลุ่มตัวอย่างจากคณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น จำนวน 30 คน แบ่งเป็นสายสังคมศาสตร์ 10 คน, สายภาษาศาสตร์ 10 คน และบุคลากร 10 คน โดยเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม เรื่อง ทัศนคติที่มีต่อวัยรุ่นกับการใช้ภาษาไทยที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป ที่มีลักษณะปลายเปิดและปลายปิด
