ประวัติโรงเรียน โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัยนนทบุรี : Suankularb Wittayalai Nonthaburi School (อักษรยอ:ส.ก.น., S.K.N.)เป็น โรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาขนาด ใหญพิเศษประเภทสหศึกษาในเครือสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัยลําดับที่สอง สังกัดสํานักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษานนทบุรี เขต 2 สหวิทยาเขตเบญจวิทยา นนทกองการมัธยมศึกษาสํานักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน (ชื่อเดิม: กรมสามัญศึกษา)กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ โดยกรมสามัญศึกษาไดรับบริจาคที่ดินจากนายผาสุกและนางเง็กมณีจักร สองสามีภรรยาคหบดีชาวอําเภอปากเกร็ดที่มีความประสงคใหสรางโรงเรียนใน เครือสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัยบนพื้นที่ดังกลาวจึงเกิดการประสานงานจัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อวัน ที่ 30มีนาคมพ.ศ. 2521 เดิมใหชื่อไววา “โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย๒ (ผาสุก มณีจักร)”และมอบหมายใหผูอํานวยการโรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัยรักษา ราชการในตําแหนงอาจารยใหญของโรงเรียนจนถึงปลายปีถัดมาจึงเปลี่ยนชื่อ โรงเรียนเป็นชื่อที่ใชอยูในปัจจุบันและในปีเดียวกันนางอัมพาแสนทวีสุขไดรับ การแตงตั้งใหเป็นอาจารยใหญคนแรกและเลื่อนฐานะขึ้นเป็นผูอํานวยการคนแรก ของโรงเรียนฯในเวลาตอมา โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัยนนทบุรี ไดรับพระมหากรุณาธิคุณจาก สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯสยามบรมราชกุมารี เสด็จพระราชดําเนินทรงเปิด อาคารเรียน “สธ๑,สธ๒และสธ๓”เมื่อกลางปี พ.ศ. 2525 และปลายปี พ.ศ. 2529ตามลําดับตลอดจนพระราชทานนามอาคารเรียน “สธ๔”และอาคารหอ ประชุม “สิรินธราลัย”ดวยนอกจากนี้ โรงเรียนฯยังไดรับรางวัลสถานศึกษา พระราชทานประจําปีการศึกษา 2532 และ 2544และในปี พ.ศ. 2541 นักเรียน ของโรงเรียนฯยังไดรับรางวัลเหรียญทองแดงจากการเขารวมการแขงขันฟิสิกส โอลิมปิกที่ประเทศอิตาลี ในฐานะผูแทนประเทศไทยขณะที่นักกีฬาของโรงเรียนฯ ไดรับรางวัลเหรียญทองในฐานะผูแทนทีมชาติไทยจากการเขารวมการ แขงขันวอลเลยบอลชายหาดในการแขงขันกีฬาเอเชียนเกมสครั้งที่ 13 อีกดวย

ปัจจุบันมีเนื้อที่ 25ไร 3งาน 18ตารางวาประกอบดวยอาคารเรียน 9หลังเปิด สอนในชวงชั้นการศึกษาที่ 3และ 4ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนตนจํานวน 38 หองเรียนและมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายในแผนการเรียน วิทยาศาสตร-คณิตศาสตร, ศิลปศาสตร-คณิตศาสตร (ศิลป-คํานวณ), ศิลปศาสตร-ภาษาศาสตร (ศิลป-ภาษา) (แบงเป็นวิชาเอก ภาษาฝรั่งเศส, ภาษาจีน และภาษาญี่ปุน)และศิลปศาสตร-สังคมศาสตร (ศิลป-ทั่วไป)จํานวน 38 หองเรียนรวมทั้งสิ้น 76หองเรียนมีคณาจารย 170ทานจํานวนนักเรียน 4,200 คน (ขอมูลปีการศึกษา 2551)
