โครงสร้างหลักสูตร
เพื่อให้การจัดการศึกษาเป็นไปตามหลักการจุดหมายและมาตรฐานการเรียนรู้ที่กำหนดไว้ในหลักสูตรสถานศึกษา จึงกำหนดโครงสร้างของหลักสูตรไว้ดังนี้
1. สาระการเรียนรู้
กำหนดสาระการเรียนรู้ตามหลักสูตร ซึ่งประกอบด้วยองค์ความรู้ทักษะหรือกระบวนการการเรียนรู้และคุณลักษณะหรือค่านิยมคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของผู้เรียนเป็น 8 กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้และ
1 กลุ่มกิจกรรมพัฒนาผู้เรียน ดังนี้
1.1 ภาษาไทย
1.2 คณิตศาสตร์
1.3 วิทยาศาสตร์
1.4 สังคมศึกษา ศาสนาและวัฒนธรรม
1.5 สุขศึกษาและพลศึกษา
1.6 ศิลปะ
1.7 การงานอาชีพและเทคโนโลยี
1.8 ภาษาต่างประเทศ (ภาษาอังกฤษ)
กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ทั้ง 8 กลุ่มเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญที่ผู้เรียนทุกคนต้องเรียนรู้โดยจัดเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มแรกประกอบด้วยภาษาไทย คณิตศาสตร์วิทยาศาสตร์และสังคมศึกษาศาสนาและวัฒนธรรม เป็นสาระการเรียนรู้ที่สถานศึกษาต้องใช้เป็นหลักในการจัดการเรียนการสอน เพื่อ
สร้างพื้นฐานการคิด และกลยุทธ์ในการแก้ปัญหาและวิกฤตต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นกับตนเองและส่วนรวม
กลุ่มที่ 2 ประกอบด้วย สุขศึกษาและพลศึกษา ศิลปะ การงานอาชีพและเทคโนโลยี และภาษาต่างประเทศ (ภาษาอังกฤษ) เป็นสาระการเรียนรู้ที่เสริมสร้างพื้นฐานความเป็นมนุษย์และสร้าง
ศักยภาพในการคิด การทำงานอย่างสร้างสรรค์
2. เวลาเรียน
หลักสูตรสถานศึกษาของโรงเรียนวัดสว่างอารมณ์ ใช้เวลาเรียน 6 ปี แต่ละปีการศึกษามีเวลาเรียนไม่น้อยกว่า 40 สัปดาห์ ในหนึ่งสัปดาห์ ต้องมีเวลาเรียน ไม่น้อยกว่า 25 ชั่วโมงทั้งนี้เมื่อรวมกันแล้วไม่ต่ำกว่า 200 วันและไม่เกิน 1,000 ชั่วโมงในหนึ่งปีการศึกษา รวมทั้งกิจกรรมพัฒนาผู้เรียนด้วย
