ประวัติความเป็นมาของบริษัท โออิชิ กรุ๊ป จำกัด (มหาชน)

เมื่อวันที่ 9 กันยายน 2542 คุณตัน ภาสกรนที ได้เริ่มเปิดให้บริการร้านอาหารบุฟเฟ่ต์ญี่ปุ่นตลอดทั้งวันแห่งแรกในประเทศไทย
ที่สุขุมวิท 55 ภายใต้ชื่อ “โออิชิ” ต่อมาในปี 2543 จึงได้จัดตั้ง บริษัท โออิชิ กรุ๊ป จำกัด (มหาชน) ( “บริษัทฯ” )
เดิมชื่อ บริษัท โออิชิ เรสเตอร์รอง จำกัด ด้วยทุนจดทะเบียนเริ่มแรก 10 ล้านบาท เพื่อประกอบธุรกิจร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่น
และในปี 2545 บริษัทฯ มีการปรับโครงสร้างการดำเนินงานพื่อดำเนินธุรกิจร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่นหลายรูปแบบ
รวมทั้งร้านเบเกอรี่เพื่อสุขภาพ ส่งผลให้บริษัทฯ มีทุนจุดทะเบียนและขำระแล้วเป็น 300 ล้านบาท และมีบริษัทย่อยจำนวน 2 บริษัท
คือ บริษัท โออิชิ ราเมน จำกัด ประกอบธุรกิจร้าอาหารประเภทบะหมี่ญี่ปุ่น และ บริษัท โออิชิ เทรดดิ้ง จำกัด
ประกอบธุรกิจเป็นผู้ผลิตและจำหน่ายชาเขียว ภายใต้ชื่อ “โออิชิ กรีนที” และทำหน้าที่เป็นครัวกลางให้กับร้านอาหารของกลุ่มบริษัทฯ

ในปัจจุบัน กลุ่มบริษัทฯ มีการประกอบธุรกิจหลัก 2 ประเภท ได้แก่ ร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่นและร้านเบเกอรี่ แบ่งออกเป็น
1. ร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่นประเภทบุฟเฟ่ต์ ภายใต้ชื่อ “โออิชิ บุฟเฟ่ต์” “โออิชิ เอ็กซ์เพรส” “ชาบูชิ” และ “โออิชิ แกรนด์”
2. ร้านอาหารประเภทตามสั่ง ภายใต้ชื่อ “โออิชิ ราเมน” “โออิชิ ซูชิบาร์” “ล็อก โฮม” “โอเค สุกี้”
3. ร้านเบเกอรี่เพื่อสุขภาพ ภายใต้ชื่อ “IN&OUT the Bakery Cafe” และ “Cha for Tea” รวมถึง บริการจัดเลี้ยงนอกสถานที่และจัดส่งถึงบ้าน และธุรกิจแฟรนไชส์ร้านอาหารญี่ปุ่น
ธุรกิจเครื่องดื่มประเภทชาเขียว ภายใต้ชื่อ “โออิชิ กรีนที” ซึ่ง ณ วันที่ 31 ธันวาคม 2547 บริษัทฯ มีสาขาของร้านอาหารรวมทั้งสิ้น 87 สาขา ทั่วกรุงเทพฯ และต่างจังหวัด ได้แก่ เชียงใหม่, พัทยา และชลบุรี จำนวนรวม 83 สาขา และอีก 4 สาขาในจังหวัดภูเก็ต เปิดเป็นธุรกิจในระบบแฟรนไชส์



บริษัทฯ ได้เริ่มดำเนินธุรกิจเป็นผู้จำหน่ายเครื่องดื่มชาเขียวพร้อมดื่ม ตั้งแต่ปี 2545 โดยว่าจ้างผู้ผลิตภายนอกผลิตเครื่องดื่มดังกล่าวขนาด 350 มิลลิลิตร ต่อมาในไตรมาสสุดท้ายของปี 2546 ทางบริษัทฯ ได้เล็งเห็นถึงศักยภาพในการเติบโตของตลาดเครื่องดื่มชาเชียวพร้อมดื่ม จึงได้เริ่มดำเนินการเป็นผู้ผลิตและจำหน่ายเครื่องดื่มชาเชียว ซึ่งต้องใช้เงินลงทุนในโครงการนี้ทั้งสิ้นจำนวน 901 ล้านบาท และได้ลงทุนไปแล้วจนถึงวันที่ 31 ธันวาคม 2547 จำนวน 801 ล้านบาท

ปี 2547 แม้ว่าเศรษฐกิจโดยรวมของประเทศไทยจะไม่เติบโตตามเป้าหมายตามที่รัฐบาลวางไว้ อันเป็นผลกระทบจากสภาวะความผันผวนของราคาน้ำมัน การระบาดของโรคไข้หวัดนก สถานการณ์วิกฤตภาคใต้ ทั้งนี้ บริษัทฯ ได้มีการติดตามสถานการณ์ดังกล่าว และปรับตัวอยู่เสมอเพื่อให้บรรลุเป้าหมายที่บริษัทฯ ได้วางไว้ อันส่งผลให้ปี 2547 เป็นอีกปีหนึ่งที่บริษัทฯ ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างสูงในการสร้างการเติบโตทั้งรายได้และกำไร และคงความเป็นผู้นำในธุรกิจอย่างต่อเนื่อง ผลประกอบการของบริษัทและบริษัทย่อยในปี 2547 (รอบระยะเวลาบัญชีของบริษัท 1 มกราคม ถึง 31 ธันวาคม) มีการปรับตัวเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง

โดยเฉพาะจากธุรกิจชาเขียวที่มีอัตรากำลังการผลิตเต็มที่ ณ สิ้นปี 2547 โดยบริษัทมีรายได้จากการขายปี 2547 เท่ากับ 3,272 ล้านบาท ปรับเพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2546 ประมาณ 1,972 ล้านบาท คิดเป็นอัตราร้อยละ 152 โดยรายได้ส่วนที่เพิ่มเกิดจากธุรกิจชาเขียว อัตราร้อยละ 1,106 และจากธุรกิจอาหาร อัตราร้อยละ 15 ตามลำดับ

ในส่วนกำไรสุทธิปี 2547 กลุ่มบริษัทมีกำไรสุทธิ 487 ล้านบาท โดยปรับเพิ่มขึ้น 467 ล้านบาท หรือร้อยละ 2,371 เมื่อเทียบกับปี 2546 ที่มีกำไรสุทธิเท่ากับ 20 ล้านบาท

ปัจจุบัน บริษัทฯ มีทุนจดทะเบียนทั้งสิ้น 375 ล้านบาท แบ่งออกเป็นหุ้นสามัญจำนวน 187.5 ล้านหุ้น มูลค่าที่ตราไว้หุ้นละ 2 บาท เป็นทุนชำระแล้วจำนวน 375 ล้านบาท
