โรงเรียนพญาลอวิทยาคม เป็นโรงเรียนระดับตำบล มีนักเรียนที่ศึกษาเล่าเรียนอยู่ประมาณ 398 คน ภายในโรงเรียนมีโรงอาหาร 1 แห่ง ก่อสร้างเมื่อ ปี พ.ศ. 2530 ที่จำหน่ายอาหาร ขนม เครื่องดื่ม ให้กับนักเรียน ซึ่งแบ่งเป็น 5 ร้าน ดังนี้ 1. ร้านน้ำ 2. ร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยว 3 .ร้านข้าวแกง 4. ร้านข้าวมันไก่ 5. ร้านผลไม้
ซึ่งโรงอาหารแบ่งเป็นพื้นที่จำหน่ายอาหารและรับประทานอาหารของครูและนักเรียน มีบรรยากาศที่โล่งสบาย พื้นที่ในการนั่งรับประทานอาหาร มีลักษณะเป็นม้านั่งยาว เก้าอี้นั่งติดโต๊ะ นั่งได้ประมาณด้านละ 4 คน อีกทั้งผู้จำหน่ายยังให้ความสำคัญ ใส่ใจในการบริการ และความสะอาดของโรงอาหารและอาหารเป็นอย่างมาก
