ระบบคมนาคมขนส่งภายในประเทศมีหลายช่องทางไม่ว่าจะเป็น ทางบก ทางน้ำ และทางอากาศ เพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้มีโอกาสเลือกเดินทางในช่องทางที่ตนเองสะดวกและรวดเร็ว ซึ่งการคมนาคมทางบกเป็นรูปแบบการขนส่งที่มีปริมาณสูงที่สุด ในปัจจุบันนักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่นิยมใช้บริการขนส่งสาธารณะในการเดินทางไปจังหวัดต่างๆ แต่ด้วยบริการของรัฐที่มีอยู่ในปัจจุบันยังไม่สามารถตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของนักท่องเที่ยวได้ เนื่องจากความล่าช้าของรถโดยสารประจำทางบางเส้นทาง นักท่องเที่ยวจึงเลือกการเดินทางโดยใช้การขนส่งรถตู้โดยสารมากขึ้น ทำให้การขนส่งโดยรถตู้โดยสารจึงเป็นตัวเลือกอีกหนึ่งช่องทางที่นักท่องเที่ยวเลือกใช้บริการ ในงานวิจัยนี้ผู้วิจัยต้องการศึกษาว่า นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่เดินทางโดยรถตู้โดยสารมีประสบการณ์อย่างไร และหลังจากนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยได้ใช้บริการรถตู้โดยสารได้รับความพึงพอใจหรือไม่ โดยในที่นี้จะศึกษาปัจจัยด้านประสบการณ์ที่ส่งผลต่อความพึงพอใจของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่ใช้บริการรถตู้โดยสาร โดยใช้เส้นทางจังหวัดพิษณุโลกเป็นกรณีศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่ใช้บริการรถตู้โดยสาร จังหวัดพิษณุโลก จำนวน 400 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สำหรับการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติใช้โปรแกรม SPSS for Window Version 17.00

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้บริการเป็นเพศหญิงมากกว่าเพศชาย โดยส่วนใหญ่มีอายุอยู่ระหว่าง 21-40 ปี ระดับการศึกษาสูงสุดตั้งแต่ปริญญาตรีขึ้นไป อาชีพโดยส่วนมากเป็นนักเรียน / นักศึกษา รายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือนต่ำกว่า 10,000 บาท และภูมิลำเนาอยู่ในภาคเหนือ ในภาพรวมนักท่องเที่ยวได้รับประสบการณ์ที่ดีต่อการใช้บริการของรถตู้โดยสาร อยู่ในระดับได้รับประสบการณ์ที่ดี และเมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายปัจจัยพบว่าปัจจัยที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ปัจจัยด้านราคา รองลงมาคือ ปัจจัยด้านพนักงาน ปัจจัยด้านบริการ ด้านความสะดวกสบาย และปัจจัยที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยน้อยที่สุดคือ ด้านการสื่อสาร
