การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นรูปแบบงานวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา (descriptive research) เพื่อศึกษาคำตอบของแบบทดสอบรอร์ชาคในผู้ป่วยโรคอารมณ์แปรปรวนสองขั้ว โดยผู้ป่วยที่เข้าร่วม งานวิจัย คือ กลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคอารมณ์แปรปรวนสองขั้วที่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยจากจิตแพทย์แล้ว และเข้ารับการบำบัดรักษาที่โรงพยาบาลพระมงกุฏเกล้าทั้งแบบผู้ป่วยนอกและผู้ป่วยใน ช่วงเก็บข้อมูล คือ ช่วงเดือน พฤศจิกายน 2556 – เดือนมกราคม พ.ศ. 2557 เป็นระยะเวลา 3 เดือนโดยประมาณ นับจากวันที่ทำการทดสอบเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีจำนวนทั้งหมด 30 คนโดยทำการเก็บข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามทั่วไป และแบบทดสอบรอร์ชาค เมื่อได้ข้อมูลนำมาทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย โดยใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูปทางสถิติในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ดังนี้ ค่าเฉลี่ย (M) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบน-มาตรฐาน (SD) และร้อยละ (%) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพื้นฐาน
ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังต่อไปนี้
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้ป่วยโรคอารมณ์แปรปรวนสองขั้วให้ลักษณะคำตอบLocation พบว่า ผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ W เป็นส่วนใหญ่ (ผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ = 29.41% )การให้ลักษณะคำตอบ Determinantพบว่า ผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ F สูงสุด (ผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ = 35.29% ) การให้ลักษณะคำตอบ Content พบว่าผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ A สูงสุด (ผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ = 42.70% ) และพบว่า ส่วนใหญ่ผู้ป่วยให้ชนิดของสัตว์ที่อยู่ใน Passive Type มากที่สุด (ผู้ป่วยให้คำตอบ = 95.41% ) และ ส่วนใหญ่ให้คำตอบประเภทสัตว์เล็กมากที่สุด เช่น ผีเสื้อ คิดเป็น 32.65% รองลงมาคือ นกและค้างคาว คิดเป็นร้อยละ 23.47 % เมื่อนำข้อมูลที่ศึกษามาวิเคราะห์เป็น Psychogram ผู้วิจัยพบว่ามี F สูงสุด เอียงไปซ้าย คือ FM, M สูงกว่า FC
