งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการลดเวลาในกระบวนการให้บริการซ่ิมบำรุงรถยนต์ที่ระยะ 120,000 กิโลเมตร ในงานวิจัยนี้ใช้เครื่องมือเทคนิค "แผนผังก้างปลา" โดยหลักการศึกษาการทำงาน จากการศึกษาขั้นตอนการทำงานทั้ง 13 ขั้นตอน พบว่าสาเหตุของเวลาสูญเสียเกิดจากขั้นตอนการเปลี่ยนสายพานราวลิ้น และการเปลี่ยนน้ำมันเบรค โดยคิดเป็นร้อยละ 57.89 และ 53.85 เทียบกับเวลามาตรฐานตามลำดับ จากการวิเคราะห์หาสาเหตุและขั้นตอนดำเนินงาน ผู้วิจัยได้เสนอแนวทางการปรับปรุงกระบวนการทำงาน เพื่อลดเวลาสูญเสียจากขั้นตอนทั้ง 2 ขั้นตอน ให้มีประสิทธิภาพต่อไปในอนาคต
