The photoluminescence and persistent luminescence prop-erties of the Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+,Dy3+MPs and crushedMPs-containing CaO and SrO glasses were measured atroom temperature using a Varian Cary Eclipse FluorescenceSpectrophotometer equipped with a Hamamatsu R928 pho-tomultiplier (PMT). The conventional luminescence (λexc:266 nm, Nd:YAG pulse laser, 8 ns, TII Lotis) was measuredat room temperature using a CCD camera (Avantes, AvaSpec-2048×14). For persistent luminescence measurements, thesamples were irradiated for 30 min at room temperature with acompact UV lamp (UVGL-25, 4 W, λexc: 365 nm). The first mea-surement was then carried out 1 min after ceasing the irradiationand then every minute up to 2 h. Each individual measurementtook 4 s. The luminescence intensity was calculated by integrat-ing the area under the emission curve.
