ได้ทำการศึกษาวิธีการเพาะเลี้ยงเชื้อราไตรโคเดอร์ม่า (Trichoderma spp.)
เพื่อทดสอบฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพในการกำจัดหนอนกออ้อย
โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบวิธีการเพาะเลี้ยงเชื้อราไตรโคเดอร์ม่าชนิดสดในอาหารเลี้ยงเชื้อจากข้าวหอมนิล ข้าวหอมพระเทพ และข้าวดอกเหมย
และศึกษาอัตราส่วนของสารชีวภาพจากเชื้อราไตรโคเดอร์ม่า (Tricoderma spp.) ที่เหมาะสมในการกำจัดหนอนกออ้อย
โดยใช้อัตราส่วนระหว่างเชื้อราไตรโคเดอร์ม่ากับน้ำ (1.0g : 200ml, 2.5g : 200, 5.0g : 200ml, 7.5g : 200ml และ 10.0g : 200ml) ในการฉีดพ่นลงไปในจานทดสอบที่มีหนอนกออ้อยอยู่จานละ 1 ml
ในการทดลองใช้ระยะเวลาในการทดสอบ 6 ชั่งโมง
จากผลการทดสอบพบว่าเชื้อราไตรโคเดอร์ม่าสามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ดีในพันธุ์ข้าวหอมนิล ข้าวหอมพระเทพ และข้าวดอกเหมย ตามลำดับ
และอัตราส่วนของเชื้อราไตรเดอร์ม่าต่อน้ำที่มีอัตราการตายของหนอนกออ้อยดีที่สุด คือ 10.0g : 200ml
และพบว่าเชื้อราไตรโคเดอร์ม่ามีฤทธิ์ในการกำจัดหนอนกออ้อยได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพสูง
