อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์สุโขทัย

ภายในกำแพงเมือง

วัดมหาธาตุ
เป็นวัดใหญ่อยู่กลางเมือง สร้างสมัยพ่อขุนศรีอินทราทิตย์ มีพระเจดีย์ต่างๆ รวมถึง 200 องค์ นับเป็นวัดสำคัญประจำกรุงสุโขทัย มีพระเจดีย์มหาธาตุ ทรงพุ่มข้าวบิณฑ์ศิลปะแบบสุโขทัยแท้ตั้งเป็นเจดีย์ประธาน ล้อมรอบด้วยเจดีย์ 8 องค์ บนฐานเดียวกัน คือ ปรางค์ศิลาแลงตั้งอยู่ที่ทิศทั้ง 4 และเจดีย์แบบศรีวิชัยผสมลังกาก่อด้วยอิฐอยู่ที่มุม ด้านตะวันออกบนเจดีย์ประธานมีวิหารขนาดใหญ่ก่อด้วยศิลาแลง มีแท่นซึ่งเคยเป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปสำริดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย คือ พระศรีศากยมุนี ปัจจุบันได้รับการเคลื่อนย้ายไปอยู่ที่วัดสุทัศน์ฯ กรุงเทพฯ ที่ด้านเหนือและด้าน ไต้เจดีย์มหาธาตุมีพระพุทธรูปยืนภายในซุ้มพระ เรียกว่า "พระอัฎฐารศ" ด้านใต้ยังพบแท่งหินเรียกว่า "ขอมดำดิน" อีกด้วย

พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติรามคำแหง

เป็นสถานที่รวบรวม และจัดแสดงศิลปโบราณที่ได้จากการขุดค้นทางโบราณคดีภายในเมืองสุโขทัยและที่ประชาชนมอบให้ บริเวณพิพิธภัณฑ์จะแบ่งส่วนการแสดงโบราณวัตถุไว้เป็น 3 ส่วนคือ


อาคารลายสือไท 700 ปี เป็นอาคารใหม่ที่ตั้งอยู่ด้านหน้าทางเข้าอาคารใหญ่ เป็นที่จัดแสดงศิลปวัตถุสมัยสุโขทัย เช่น พระพุทธรูป เครื่องใช้ ถ้วยชาม สังคโลก ศิลาจารึก ฯลฯ


อาคารพิพิธภัณฑ์ แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ชั้น แสดงศิลปวัตถุในยุคสมัยต่างๆ มากมาย อาทิ พระพุทธรูปสำริด โอ่ง สังคโลก เครื่องศาสตราวุธ เครื่องถ้วยชามสังคโลก เงินตรา ท่อน้ำระบบชลประทานสุโขทัย ฯลฯ


พิพิธภัณฑ์กลางแจ้ง จะอยู่ด้านนอกโดยรอบอาคารใหญ่ เป็นที่ตั้งแสดงศิลปะวัตถุโบราณต่างๆ อาทิ พระพุทธรูปศิลา แผ่นจำหลัก รูปทรงอาคารไทยแบบต่างๆ เตาทุเรียงจำลอง เสมาธรรมจักศิลา เป็นต้น
