การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับการใช้หรือพูดภาษาอังกฤษของคนไทย ศึกษาถึงปัจจัยที่มีต่อการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ และศึกษาปัญหาที่ทำให้คนไทย ไม่ค่อยกล้าที่จะพูดภาอังกฤษหรือพูดไม่ได้
การศึกษากรณีเหล่านี้ก็เพื่อใช้เป็นแนวทางในการวางแผนการในการพัฒนาคุณภาพของคนไทย โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/7 ของโรงเรียนกาญจนาภิเษกวิทยาลัยนครปฐม (พระตำหนักสวนกุหลาบมัธยม) จำนวน 42 คน เครื่องมือการวิจัยใช้แบบสอบถามเพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการใช้ค่าร้อยละ และค่าเฉลี่ย
ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าสมาชิกของ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/7 ของโรงเรียนกาญจนาภิเษกวิทยาลัยนครปฐม (พระตำหนักสวนกุหลาบมัธยม) อายุระหว่าง 15-16 ปี ที่จบวุฒิม.3แล้ว แต่ยังไม่มีรายได้ หลังจากการศึกษาปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง กับการมีส่วนร่วมของนักเรียนชั้น ม.4/7แล้ว พบว่า ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลคือ ระดับการศึกษา บ้านเกิด สถานภาพครอบครัว ไม่ส่งผลถึงการมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมการสัมภาษณ์ของบุคคลที่มีความคิดเห็นต่อการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของคนไทย ปัจจัยทางการศึกษา และปัจจัยทางครอบครัว ก็ไม่ส่งผลต่อการสัมภาษณ์ รวมถึงระยะเวลาการอาศัยอยู่ในพื้นที่วิจัยไม่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการมีส่วนร่วมเช่นกัน
ในการวิจัยนี้ มีข้อเสนอแนะ ดังนี้คือ
1. สมาชิกของนักเรียนชั้น ม.4/7 โรงเรียน กภน. เป็นผู้ประสานงานหลักในการให้ความร่วมมือ หมู่บ้านและชุมชนก็ควรมีส่วนร่วมทุกระดับเพื่อการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของคนไทยที่จะสืบทอดไปรุ่นลูก สร้างความเข้าใจ และร่วมมือกันทั้งชุมชน
2. สมาชิกของนักเรียนชั้น ม.4/7 โรงเรียน กภน. ควรส่งเสริมการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของคนไทย เพื่อเสนอตัวเป็นตัวแทนในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ โดยเริ่มจากการให้ความสำคัญกับการพูดภาษาอังกฤษแก่นักเรียนโรงเรียนกาญจนาภิเษก วิทยาลัยนครปฐม (พระตำหนักสวนกุหลาบมัธยม)ทุกคน
3. ผู้ใหญ่ทุกคนก็ควรให้ความสำคัญกับปัญหานี้ด้วย เพื่อที่เด็กๆที่เกิดขึ้นมาจะได้ไม่ต้องประสบปัญหาเหล่านี้
