ข้อกำจัดของงานวิจัย ข้อจำกัดในการวิจัยครั้งนี้มี 3 ประการ ดังต่อไปนี้
ประการแรก การวิจัยในครั้งนี้ เป็นการศึกษาวิจัยในลักษณะความสัมพันธ์เปรียบเทียบ ดังนั้น ข้อมูลที่พบจึงเป็นการแสดงถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปรอิสระกับตัวแปรตาม จึงเป็นความเกี่ยวข้องที่เป็นสาเหตุตามธรรมชาติของพฤติกรรมเท่านั้น ผลของการวิจัยจึงยังมิได้สรุป และมีการพิสูจน์เพื่อยืนยันความเป็นสาเหตุและผล ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพฤติกรรมป้องกันโรคเอดส์ในงานวิจัยได้อย่างชัดเจน เพื่อเป็นการยืนยันผลการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ จึงควรมีการจัดเป็นกิจกรรมต้นแบบพัฒนา และทำการวิจัยเชิงทดลองแล้วนำมาสร้างสาเหตุตามที่พบดังข้างต้น เพื่อประเมินประสิทธิผลและศึกษาผลที่เกิดขึ้นว่าตรงกับงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้หรือไม่ มากน้อยเพียงใด
ประการที่สอง ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีการวัดค่าลักษณะสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน จิตลักษณะเดิม จิตลักษณะตามสถานการณ์ และการรับรู้การอบรมเลี้ยงดู ดังนั้นข้อมูลที่ได้อาจมีความสัมพันธ์กันมากกว่าความเป็นจริง ซึ่งในโอกาสต่อไป ควรมีการวัดตัวแปรผลด้วยการสังเกต และ/หรือการรายงานจากผู้อื่นร่วมด้วย เช่น ครอบครัว เพื่อนร่วมงาน หรือเพื่อนสนิทของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง เป็นต้น
