มร.ทานาดะ กล่าวว่า “ยอดขายรถยนต์รวมในประเทศไทยปี 2556 มียอดขายอยู่ที่ 1,330,668 คัน โดย Toyota มียอดขายในประเทศ 445,464 คัน หากพิจารณาตลาดรถยนต์ในปี 2555 และ 2556 จะพบว่าเป็นช่วงการเปลี่ยนแปลงของตลาดรถยนต์ในประเทศเข้าสู่ขนาดตลาดที่มียอดขายมากกว่า 1 ล้านคัน เป็นผลจากความต้องการที่เพิ่มขึ้นประกอบกับการแนะนำรถยนต์รุ่นใหม่หลายรุ่นจากหลายๆ ค่าย”
