ตราประจำจังหวัด คือ พระบรมธาตุไชยา ซึ่งมีศิลปะแบบศรีวิชัย ตั้งอยู่ ณ วัดพระบรมธาตุไชยาราชวรวิหาร โดยสร้างขึ้นเมื่อประมาณพุทธศตวรรษที่ 13-14 และเป็นสถานที่บรรจุพระบรมสารีริกธาตุของสมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าด้วย [9]
