การพัฒนาเยาวชนไทยสู่อาเซียน หลายๆคนคงคิดว่า เราจะต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงทุกอย่าง ทั้งทางด้านภาษาและวัฒนธรรม และทุกๆอย่างที่เรามีให้เข้ากับอาเซียน แต่ที่จริงแล้วทุกคนคิดผิด มันก็อาจจะมีส่วนถูกที่ว่าพออาเซียนเข้ามาทุกคนจะต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงทุกอย่าง แต่ในความเปลี่ยนแปลง ก็ยังคงรักษาสิ่งเดิมๆเอาไว้ อย่างเช่น ภาษาหลักของเรา ก็คือภาษาไทย เราไม่ได้ต้องการเปลี่ยนแต่เราแค่เพิ่มเติมในสิ่งที่ตรงตามจุดปร่ะสงค์ของอาเซียน และอีกอย่างวัฒนธรรม เราก็ไม่จำเป็นต้องเปลี่ยน แต่เราแค่ต้องศึกษาและปรับเข้าหาประเทศอื่นแต่ยังคงอยู่ด้วยวัฒนธรรมของประเทศไทย บางทีสิ่งที่เป็นของดั้งเดิม อาจจะเป็นสิ่งที่ดึงดูดให้ชาวต่างชาติเข้ามาเยี่ยมชมสื่งที่เราอนุรักษ์ไว้ เด็กไทยทุกวันนี้ควรที่จะเปิดโอกาสเปิดมุมมองของเขาให้มากขึ้น ให้เขาได้คิดและวิเคราะห์ประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน ยังมีเด็กอีกหลายคนที่พร้อมจะจดจำความบกพร่องของประเทศชาติเรา และกลับมาพัฒนาให้เป็นที่นิยมในประเทศอาเซียนได้ ในความคิดเห็นส่วนตัวดิฉันคิดว่า อาเซียนคือการรวมประเทศที่ยิ่งใหญ่ ซึ่งมีการค้าที่เสรี และยังให้โอกาศของแต่ละประเทศได้เข้ามาทำงาน และยังมีประโยชน์อีกหลายสิ่งหลายอย่างมากมายที่เกิดจากอาเซียน ทุกคนมีความหวัง ฝากฝันไว้กับคำว่าอาเซียน ทุกคนวาดฝันไว้อย่างสวยงาม แต่ยังมีอีกหลายอย่างที่ทุกคนลืมมันไป สิ่งนั้นก็คือ เด็กไทยของเรา อนาคตของชาติ เด็กพวกนี้ทุกคนต่างมีปัญหาแบบเดียวกัน คืออ่อนทางด้านภาษา สิ่งเดียวที่จะฝึกกันใหม่คือผู้สอนกับตัวนักเรียน ถ้าสองสิ่งนี้ไปด้วยกันได้ แต่ถ้าทุกคนยังเห็นว่าภาษาที่สองนั่นก็คือภาษาอังกฤษเป็นของเล่นนี้ ซักวันหนึ่งที่ได้เข้ามาในประชาคมอาเซียน เด้กไทยเราจะเป็นเด็กที่ไม่มีคุณภาพ แต่นี่คือการคาดเดา ถ้าเราร่วมมือกันที่จะพัฒนา ถ้าเราร่วมมือกันที่จะเปลี่ยนแปลง และถ้าเราร่วมมือกันที่จะช่วยเหลือกัน จะไม่มีคำว่าล่าช้า เด็กไทยเราต้องเป็นเด็กที่มีคุณภาพ และเป็นที่หนึ่งในอาเซียนอย่างแน่นอน
