โครงงานวิทยาศาสตร์เรื่องการศึกษาการยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรีย Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) ด้วยสารสกัดจากต้นเทียนนามีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถในการการยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรีย Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) ด้วยสารสกัดจากเทียนนาด้วยวิธีสกัดสารด้วยแอลกอฮอล์ และเปรียบเทียบระดับความเข้มข้นของสารสกัดจาดเทียนนาที่มีผลต่อการยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรีย Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo)

ผลการทดลองในการทดลองที่ 1 พบว่าสารสกัดจากเทียนนามีผลในการยับยั้งเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรีย Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) และในการทดลองที่ 2 พบว่าความเข้มข้นที่เหมาะสมของสารสกัดจากเทียนนาที่ใช้ในการยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรีย Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) คือ 62.5 และ 125 mg./ml.
