หลายคนยังมีความเชื่อ (แบบผิดๆ) ว่า grammar หรือเรื่องไวยากรณ์ภาษาอังกฤษ ไม่ใช่เรื่องสำคัญ หลายคนจึงไม่รู้จัก Part of Speech (ซึ่งเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญในการเขียนประโยค) ไม่รู้จักสำนวนภาษาอังกฤษ (Idiom) ไม่เข้าใจเรื่องกาลเวลา หรือ Tense และคิดแต่เพียงว่า โครงสร้างประโยคมีแบบเดียวเท่านั้น คือ ประธาน + กริยา + กรรม
แต่ข้อดีของคนไทย คือ การรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ เช่น  
      is แปลว่า เป็น อยู่ คือ
      have แปลว่า มี
      do แปลว่า ทำ
      make ก็แปลว่า ทำ
แต่ปัญหา คือ
 
     ไม่รู้ว่า make กับ do ใช้ต่างกันอย่างไร
 
     หรือ is ใช้ได้กี่แบบ
 
     หรือ นอกจาก have แปลว่า มี ยังสามารถแปลว่า "ได้ทำมาแล้ว" ก็ได้
