โรคไข้ซิกา เกิดจากการติดเชื้อไวรัสซิกาโดยมียุงในตระกูล Aedes (ยุงลาย) เป็นพาหะนำโรคไข้ซิกา กลุ่มเสี่ยงที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการติดโรคไข้ซิกาคือ กลุ่มหญิงตั้งครรภ์ ซึ่งการติดโรคไข้ซิกาในหญิงตั้งครรภ์จะทำให้เด็กทารกในครรภ์มีศีรษะเล็กกว่าปกติ ทางคณะผู้วิจัยจึงมีความสนใจที่จะศึกษาในเรื่องความรอบรู้ทางสุขภาพกับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองในกลุ่มหญิงตั้งครรภ์ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเอง ความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพในเรื่องโรคไข้ซิกา และศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพกับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองในกลุ่มหญิงตั้งครรภ์ การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนา ในกลุ่มหญิงตั้งครรภ์จำนวน 40 คน ที่มารับบริการในโรงพยาบาลแห่งหนึ่งในจังหวัดชลบุรี เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามความรอบรู้ด้านสุขภาพกับพฤติกรรมการป้องกันตนเองจากไข้ซิกา วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา และค่าสถิติที่ใช้ในการหาความสัมพันธ์ของตัวแปรคือ ค่าสถิติสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน (Pearson’s product Moment Correlation Coefficient)
