บทคัดย่อ
การทำโครงงานครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อผลิตปูนซีเมนต์ต้นทุนต่ำที่ใช้ในการก่อสร้างบางประเภท โดยการนำวัสดุเหลือใช้หรือมีมากในธรรมชาติ คือ ดินเหนียวและดินเหนียว ซึ่งดินเหนียวมีส่วนประกอบคือ อะลูมินา (AI2O3) ซิลิกา (SiO2) ส่วนเปลือกหอยที่ผ่านการอบด้วยความร้อนสูงมีปูนขาว (CaO) เมื่อทำปฏิกิริยากับน้ำจะเกิดสารประกอบที่มีความแข็งแรง แล้วมาผสมกับปูนซีเมนต์มาตรฐาน โดยการนำเทคนิคและกระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ เช่น การชั่ง ตวง วัด การระเหย การเพิ่มพื้นที่ผิวสัมผัสโดยการบดให้เป็นผงละเอียด การใช้วัสดุประสาน การเกิดปฏิกิริยาเคมี แรงโน้มถ่วงของโลก มาผลิตเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ปูนซีเมนต์ ได้มีการตรวจสอบคุณภาพโดยการชั่งมวล ระยะเวลาการแข็งตัว ความทนทานต่อแรงกระแทก ทนต่อสารละลายกรด-เบสและกระแสน้ำ พบว่ามีสมบัติใกล้เคียงกับปูนซีเมนต์มาตรฐาน แต่มีข้อจำกัดบางประการในการใช้งานที่ต้องรับน้ำหนักมากหรือถูกกระแทกอย่างรุนแรงนอกจากนี้เมื่อคิดราคาต้นทุนการผลิตแล้ว ปูนซีเมนต์ผสมกับดินเหนียวและเปลือกหอยยังถูกกว่าปูนซีเมนต์มาตรฐานอีกร้อยละ 3 บาท
