ลักษณะของครอบครัวที่ดี นั้นสมาชิกในครอบครัวควรมีชีวิตที่มีความสุข และมีสุขภาพดีทั้งทางกายและทางจิตใจ โดยสามารถทำได้ดังนี้
1 มีความรักและความห่วงใยซึ่งกันและกัน
2 มีความเข้าใจซึ่งกันและกัน สามารถพูดคุยกันได้อย่างเปิดเผย ไม่ปิดบัง และรู้จักรับฟังความคิดเห็นของคนอื่น
