– ระหว่าง 2540 – 2545 จำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวบรูไนมีอัตราการขยายตัวเฉลี่ยเพิ่มขึ้น ร้อยละ 18.35 ระหว่างมกราคม – พฤศจิกายนของปี 2546 มีนักท่องเที่ยวจากบรูไนเดินทางมายังไทยจำนวน 15,392 คน เพิ่มขึ้นจากช่วงเดียวกันของปี 2545 ร้อยละ 24.48 โดยในจำนวนนี้ มี นักท่องเที่ยวชาวบรูไนเดินทางมาไทยจำนวน 7,123 คน ลดลงจากช่วงเดียวกันของปี 2545 ร้อยละ 20.13 ทั้งนี้ แม้ว่านักท่องเที่ยวบรูไนจะเดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวในไทยจำนวนไม่มากนัก แต่ก็เป็นตลาดที่สร้างมูลค่าการใช้จ่ายสูงและยังมีศักยภาพที่สามารถผลักดัน ต่อไปได้ ในส่วนของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่เดินทางไปบรูไนนั้น ระหว่างมกราคม – พฤศจิกายนของปี 2546 มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 10,205 คน ลดลงจากช่วงเดียวกันของปี 2546 ร้อยละ 2.62 โดยมีส่วนแบ่งการตลาดคิดเป็นร้อยละ 0.56
