การศึกษาวิจัยในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจความคิดเห็นของนิสิตมหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2559 เกี่ยวกับคุณภาพและให้บริการของผู้ประกอบการของศูนย์อาหาร 2 มหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ วิทยาเขตสงขลา และเพื่อศึกษาถึงข้อเสนอแนะต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการให้บริการของผู้ประกอบการ โดยทางคณะผู้วิจัยได้กำหนดกลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนิสิตระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ วิทยาเขตสงขลา ที่เข้ามาใช้บริการศูนย์อาหาร 2 จำนวน 10 คน ซึ่งดำเนินการวิจัยโดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกเป็นเครื่องมือในการสำรวจและเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ ข้อมูลส่วนตัว และ ประเด็นในการสัมภาษณ์ ผลการวิจัย พบว่า นิสิตผู้ใช้บริการศูนย์อาหาร 2 ของมหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ มีความคิดเห็นไปในทิศทางเดียวกัน คือ ผู้ประกอบการควรควรปรับปรุงเกี่ยวกับมารยาทในการให้บริการมากกว่านี้ และแก้ไขเกี่ยวกับระยะเวลาในการประกอบอาหาร เนื่องจากนิสิตใช้ระยะเวลาในการรออาหารนานเกินควร อีกทั้งควรเพิ่มจำนวนร้านอาหารเพื่อเพิ่มความหลากหลายในการเลือกใช้บริการและช่วยลดระยะเวลาในการรออาหารได้
