เป็นวัดที่มีความสวยงามโดดเด่นด้วยพระอุโบสถทองคำร้อยล้าน เป็นพระอุโบสถตกแต่งด้วยงานปูนปั้นสีทองทั้งหลัง เด่นตระหง่านอยู่กลางลานกว้างแยกออกจากพื้นที่เขตสังฆาวาสอย่างชัดเจน ภายในประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปคู่วัดคือพระศรีอาริยเมตไตรยโพธิสัตว์ (ผู้ที่จะได้ตรัสรู้เป็นองค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าในลำดับถัดไป) พุทธลักษณะเด่นคือมีตาลปัตรอยู่ด้านหน้า ส่วนองค์พระประธานเป็นพระพุทธรูปสลักหินหยกขาวพุทธศิลป์แบบพม่า ซึ่งชาวไทยจะได้เห็นพระพุทธรูปในลักษณะนี้อยู่หลายวัด หลวงพ่ออุตตมะ แห่งวัดวังก์วิเวการาม จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี เมตตาอธิษฐานจิต ณ อุโบสถวัดพระศรีอารย์ เมื่อวันที่ 3 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2536

 ความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับอุโบสถทองคำร้อยล้าน ยังมีประชาชนจำนวนมากที่ได้ไปนมัสการพระศรีอาริย์ในอุโบสถต่างเชื่อกันว่าหากแตะบานประตูไม้แกะสลักบานใหญ่ของอุโบสถแล้วอธิษฐานจะประสบความสำเร็จดังปรารถนา

 ความสำคัญด้านการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา วัดพระศรีอารย์มีโครงการจัดกิจกรรมสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชน คือ การค่ายพุทธบุตร วันหยุดเสาร์-อาทิตย์จะได้เห็นนักเรียนเข้ามาฟังธรรมในศาลาการเปรียญจำนวนมาก
