ลิเวอร์เวิร์ตเป็นพืชที่พบมากในบริเวณที่มีความชื้นสูง การศึกษาในครั้งนี้ต้องการทราบว่าลิเวอร์- เวิร์ตที่อยู่บนพื้นดินในบริเวณหอดูดาวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 7 รอบพระชนมพรรษา อุทยานแห่งชาติดอยอิน-ทนนท์ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงร้อยละการปกคลุมในแต่ละเดือนอย่างไร โดยวาง Quadrat ขนาด 50x50 ตารางเซนติเมตร จำนวน 3 Quadrat ในพื้นที่ศึกษา และหาร้อยละการปกคลุมของลิเวอร์เวิร์ต และเก็บข้อมูลทางกายภาพ-เคมีได้แก่ ความชื้นในดิน ความเป็นกรด-ด่าง (pH) ความชื้นสัมพัทธ์ในบรรยากาศ อุณหภูมิดิน อุณหภูมิอากาศ ความเข้มแสง เป็นต้น ทำการศึกษาตั้งแต่เดือนกุมภาพันธ์จนถึง เดือนสิงหาคม 2557 จากผลการศึกษาพบ ลิเวอร์เวิร์ตชนิดเด่นและสังเกตได้ง่าย 5 ชนิด คือ Chandonanthus hirtellus (F.Weber) Mitt., Frullania nepalensis (Spreng.) Lehm. & Lindenb., Herbertus dicranus (Taylor ex Gottsche et al.) Trevis., Jamesoniella sp. และ Small leafy liverwort โดยพบว่า H.dicranus มีร้อยละการปกคลุมมากที่สุด คือ 75.0% และ F.nepalensis มีร้อยละการปกคลุมน้อยที่สุด คือ 29.7% นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าร้อยละการปกคลุมของลิเวอร์เวิร์ตที่ศึกษามีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น และมีความสัมพันธ์กับปัจจัยทางกายภาพโดยเฉพาะความชื้นในดิน
