พิพิธภัณฑ์บัวมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีรา

พิพิธภัณฑ์บัวมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลธัญบุรี ดำเนินการจัดตั้งในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๓ เป็นโครงการตามแนวพระราชดำริ สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี และได้เข้าร่วมโครงการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมพืชอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริฯ ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๖ เพื่อดำเนินการสำรวจเก็บรวบรวมพันธุ์บัว ปลูกรักษา ศึกษาการใช้ประโยชน์ และสร้างจิตสำนึกในการอนุรักษ์พันธุ์บัว โดยเริ่มดำเนินการรวบรวมพันธ์บัวเพียง ๔๐ สายพันธุ์ ปัจจุบันมีพันธุ์บัวมากกว่า ๑๐๐ สายพันธุ์ มีทั้งบัวหลวง บัวผัน บัวสาย บัวฝรั่ง บัววิกตอเรีย และบัวพันธุ์ไทยหายากในอื้นที่ ๑๘ ไร่
