เหตุการณ์ 14 ตุลาคม 2516

ในวันนั้นมีการชุมนุมและลุกฮือของผู้คนจำนวนมาก เป็นแสนๆคน เพื่อต่อต้านรัฐบาลเผด็จการทหาร ซึ่งการประท้วงเริ่มตั้งแต่วันที่ 6 ตุลาคม และสิ้นสุดลงในวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม แต่เกิดการปะทะกันของตำรวจและผู้ประท้วงจึงทำให้มีการเสียเลือดเนื้อเกิดขึ้น แต่เหตุการณ์สำคัญครั้งนั้น ถือว่าเป็นการล้มอำนาจเผด็จการทหาร เพราะว่าจอมพลถนอม กิตติขจร จอมพลประภาส จารุเสถียร และพลเอกณรงค์ กิตติขจร ยินยอมเดินทางออกนอกประเทศ ซึ่งก็นับว่าเป็นโอกาสให้เกิดการปกครองระบอบประชาธิปไตยมากขึ้น

เหตุการณ์ 6 ตุลาคม 2519

ชนวนของเหตุการณ์ในครั้งนี้ เริ่มมาจากที่ จอมพลถนอม กิตติขจร ได้เดินทางกลับเข้ามาในประเทศ จึงเกิดมีการประท้วงอีกครั้ง บวกกับเหตุการณ์การแสดงละครของนักศึกษา ซึ่งถูกกล่าวหาว่า หมิ่นพระบรมเดชานุภาพ และยังเกิดความแตกแยกทางอุดมการณ์ จนทำให้เกิดการห้ำหั่นกัน และนองเลือดในที่สุด เหตุการณ์ในครั้งนี้นับว่าเป็นการสิ้นสุดของรัฐธรรมนูญที่ได้มาด้วยการต่อสู้ของประชาชนที่รวมตัวกันล้มระบอบเผด็จการทหาร

2540 กำเนิดรัฐธรรมนูญ ฉบับประชาชน

การเลือกตั้งในวันที่ 6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2548
