Attached is a commercial invoice from E&S, along with the packing list from Christie.
I reviewed your attached file on the projector issues. Some of the issues with auto align are not the projector’s fault. For example the issue on January 3rd was due to the camera hoods being left on. Also, the projectors will shift overtime. They should run auto align and auto blend as often as it is needed. This is why they have both of these features. We are not sure if they were just nervous to use them. When Lije was there he did some more training with Parin on how the masks work and did an auto alignment and auto blend. We haven’t heard of anymore problems with this. Dark spots reported were due to dust on the lens and possibly someone touching the lenses. We can’t be held responsible for those kind of issues. I think for time to time those things are going to happen. We just need to make sure they know how to take care of them when they happen.
Also, sometimes projectors just like computers, need to be “re-booted” sometimes. Christie is always working on fixing any problems that they discover. As they come out with new updates to the firmware on the projectors and we will pass that on. One issue we are aware of is that the fans may start to get noisy, that is way we have asked that they disconnect the projectors once a week. Christie is aware of the issue and is trying to find a solution. Right now a simple solution is to unplug the projectors and that seems to take care of it.
I wish I could tell you that they are not going to have any problems. But that is not the case. Most of the time it can be as simple of shutting of the power and rebooting the system. Or unplugging a cable or video card and re-plugging it back in. It just needs to be “re-seeded”. We will always be available to help with anything.
