ในการจัดตั้งโครงงานธนาคารขยะรีไซเคิลจำเป็นต้องศึกษาทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้องดังนี้
1.การลดปริมาณขยะ
รายละเอียดดังนี้
เนื่องจากในปัจจุบันประชากรโลกเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว ทำให้โลกเสียสมดุลทางธรรมชาติ ส่งผลให้เกินปัญหาต่าง ๆ ตามมามากมายมหาศาล ไม่ว่าจะเป็นปัญหาด้านมลภาวะ ปัญหาด้านการทำมาหากิน ปัญหาด้านสังคม ปัญหาด้านการศึกษา และปัญหาด้านการเมือง ถ้าทุก ๆ คนไม่ร่วมมือช่วยกันในการป้องกันและแก้ปัญหาต่าง ๆ ดังกล่าว ในที่สุดก็จะทำให้มนุษย์ไม่สามารถที่จะมีชีวิตอยู่ในโลกนี้ได้ เพื่อเป็นการช่วยกันป้องกันและช่วยกันแก้ปัญหาด้านมลภาวะ ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คณะทำงานจึงได้จัดทำโครงการธนาคารขยะขึ้น
2. ปัญหาการเกิดขยะ
รายละเอียดดังนี้
1.เพื่อนำขยะในบริเวณโรงเรียนและชุมชน มาบริหารจัดการให้ถูกวิธี
2. เพื่อให้โรงเรียนและชุมชนสะอาด สวยงาม
3. เพื่อแปลงขยะเป็นรายได้ให้กับนักเรียน
4. เพื่อช่วยลดภาวะโลกร้อน
