การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศไทยมีวิวัฒนา

การจัดการศึกษาของประเทศไทยมีวิวัฒนาการมาตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณเรื่อยมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ด้วยความเชื่อที่ว่าการศึกษาช่วยกำหนดทิศทางของชาติ เพื่อพัฒนาคนไทยให้มีความพร้อมที่จะเป็นกำลังสำคัญสำหรับการพัฒนาประเทศให้เจริญก้าวหน้า ความเป็นมาของการศึกษาไทยมีประวัติที่น่าสนใจแบ่งออกได้ 5 ช่วง ดังนี้ (ประไพ เอกอุ่น. 2542 : 75)

การจัดการศึกษาของไทยมีวิวัฒนาการมาโดยตลอด อาจจะเป็นเพราะมีปัจจัยทั้งภายในและภายนอกประเทศทำให้สังคมมีการเปลี่ยนแปลง กล่าวคือ ปัจจัยภายในเกิดจากความต้องการพัฒนาสังคมให้มีความเจริญและทันสมัย ส่วนปัจจัยภายนอกเกิดจากกระแสความเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมโลก ทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจและการเมือง ตลอดจนการติดต่อสื่อสารกันทำให้ประเทศไทยต้องปรับตัวให้ทันสมัย เพื่อความอยู่รอดและประเทศได้เกิดการพัฒนาให้ทัดเทียมกับนานาประเทศ ด้วยเหตุผลที่กล่าวมาทำให้การจัดการศึกษาของไทยมีวิวัฒนาการเรื่อยมา ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยที่ช่วยเสริมความเจริญก้าวหน้าทั้งทางด้านสังคม เศรษฐกิจและการเมืองของชาติให้มั่นคงและเจริญก้าวหน้า ดังจะได้กล่าวถึงวิวัฒนาการของการศึกษาไทย ดังนี้

1.การศึกษาของไทยสมัยโบราณ ( พ.ศ. 1781 - พ.ศ. 2411)
