ผมเข้าใจว่าผู้อ่านหลายท่าน คงจะอยู่ในช่วงเวลาเดียวกับผม ที่ได้มีโอกาสไปศึกษาต่างประเทศ ในห้วงเวลาที่ประเทศไทย เกิดวิกฤติเศรษฐกิจ เมื่อปี 2540 ในปีนั้น ผมได้เห็นความทุกข์ยากของคนไทย ที่ได้ติดหลุมกับดักมหาโหด ของประเทศลัทธิทุนนิยมต่างๆ ที่เป็นผู้เขียนกติกา และทฤษฎีต่างๆ หลอก และล้างสมอง ให้ประเทศกำลังพัฒนาทั้งหลายเดินตาม ทั้งๆ ที่ลักษณะนิสัย เศรษฐกิจพื้นฐาน สภาพสังคม วิธีคิด ของประเทศกำลังพัฒนา กับประเทศทุนนิยมเหล่านั้น แตกต่างกันโดยสิ้นเชิง นักวิชาการเศรษฐศาสตร์ของเราทั้งหลาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นที่กระทรวงการคลัง หรือธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย ที่ได้ไปร่ำเรียนที่ประเทศเหล่านั้น ก็แน่นอนครับว่าจะนั่งคิดนอนคิดยังไง ก็ต้องคิดตามหลุมกับดักของพวกนั้นเป็นอย่างดี เขาเข้ามาบอกให้เปิดประเทศด้านเศรษฐกิจ กู้เงินมาพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน เน้นการผลิตเพื่อการส่งออก ฯลฯ เชื่อไหมครับว่าถ้าไปดูตัวเลขการเป็นหนี้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นหนี้ธนาคารโลก หรือ IMF ประเทศกำลังพัฒนามีแต่จนลงๆ และจนลงเรื่อยมา ยิ่งทำตามกติกาการค้าเสรีที่ฝรั่งเป็นคนเขียนก็ยิ่งแย่หนักไปอีก สงสัยไหมครับทำไมเวลามีปัญหาเศรษฐกิจ คนจน คนรากหญ้า เด็กนักเรียนจะโดนผลกระทบก่อนทุกครั้ง ว่างๆ จะเล่าให้ฟังครับ

จริงๆ แล้ว ผมได้ศึกษาทฤษฎีเศรษฐศาสตร์ต่างๆ มานานหลายปีแล้วครับ จนปัจจุบันผมกล้าฟันธงว่า “ทฤษฎีเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง” ของในหลวง นั้นคือทฤษฎีเศรษฐศาสตร์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดของโลกครับ ซึ่งหากเรายึดแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงแล้ว ปัญหาวิกฤติต่างๆ ก็จะไม่เกิดขึ้นครับ

แต่เป็นที่น่าเสียใจว่า ยังมีคนไทยอีกเป็นจำนวนมากยังไม่เข้าใจ และนำแนวคิดนี้มาปรับใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันของเรา หลายคนยังนึกว่าทฤษฎีเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง คือการไม่ทำอุตสาหกรรม และถอยกลับไปทำการเกษตรทั้งประเทศ บางคนก็นึกว่าให้ทุกคนปลูกข้าวเลี้ยงสัตว์กินเอง และทำของใช้เองในครอบครัว บางคนก็นึกไปโน่น ว่าให้ประหยัดไว้เยอะๆ ไม่ใช้เงิน หรือไม่ก็ปิดประเทศ ฯลฯ นักเศรษฐศาสตร์ไทยแต่ทาสความคิดฝรั่งบางคน ก็ออกมาบอกว่า แนวคิดไม่สอดคล้องกับหลักเศรษฐศาสตร์ และการค้าของโลก ทั้งๆ ที่ตัวเองยังไม่เข้าใจว่าคืออะไร

กลับมาที่แนวคิดเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงว่าคืออะไรครับ อธิบายสั้นๆ ก็คือการใช้ทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่อย่างพอดี ไม่น้อย หรือไม่มากเกินไป ไม่เกินตัว ทรัพยากรที่พูดถึงคืออะไรครับ ยกตัวอย่างง่ายๆ และใกล้ตัวเราที่สุดก็คือเงินไงครับ คือให้ใช้เงินให้เป็น และรู้จักออม ถ้านำแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง มาประยุกต์ใช้กับการใช้เงินของเราเพื่อช่วยเหลือชาติแบบง่ายๆ ก็จะทำได้ดังนี้ครับ ....
แนวทางปฏิบัติในแบบเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง



รู้จักใช้เงินในการเลือกรับประทานอาหารในราคาที่ควรจะเป็น เช่น ไก่ทอด KFC กับไก่ทอดของไทยตามร้านทั่วๆ ไป จริงอยู่ครับว่ามันเป็นไก่ทอดเหมือนกัน ขนาดก็เท่ากัน แต่ราคามันห่างกันลิบ ทานไก่ KFC แล้วทำให้เงินมันเหลือน้อยกว่าทานไก่ทอดธรรมดา ทำให้เหลือเงินไปซื้อของใช้จำเป็นอื่นๆ น้อยลงไปอีก เหลือเงินออมน้อยลง เวลาเกิดเหตุฉุกเฉินขึ้นมาชีวิตก็ลำบาก และเป็นทุกข์ ในและมีผลกระทบในภาพรวมคือถ้าทุกคนกินแต่ไก่ KFC เงินออมของทั้งระบบก็จะน้อยลง ทำให้การขยายการลงทุนในประเทศก็จะทำได้ยาก
