ปริญญานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อออกแบบและสร้างเครื่องรดน้ำสนามหญ้าอัตโนมัติควบคุมด้วยไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์โดยการวัดความชื้นในอากาศและวัดปริมาณน้ำฝน ในปัจจุบันการจ้างคนมาดูแลสวนมีค่าแรงสูง และระบบรดน้ำหญ้าอัตโนมัติในปัจจุบัน จะพบแบบตั้งเวลาในการสั่งเปิดปิดทำงานของปั๊มน้ำ โดยบางวันฝนตกหรือมีความชื้นในอากาศอยู่แล้ว ระบบรดน้ำอัตโนมัติก็ยังทำงาน ซึ่งจะเป็นการสูญเสียทรัพยากรอย่างไร้ประโยชน์
