โรงพยาบาลกรุงเทพพัทยา ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2533 มีจำนวนเตียงรองรับผู้ป่วยได้ 100 เตียง ในปี พ.ศ. 2540 ได้รับรางวัลมาตรฐาน ISO 9002 ปัจจุบันยกระดับมาตรฐานเป็น ISO 9001:2000 และในปีเดียวกันยังได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นผู้ส่งออกสินค้าและบริการดีเด่นประเภทธุรกิจบริการที่มีชาวต่างประเทศเข้ามาใช้บริการมากที่สุด นับเป็นแห่งที่สามของประเทศไทยที่ได้รับรางวัลอันทรงเกียรตินี้ ปี พ.ศ. 2543 ได้มีการสร้างอาคารศูนย์การแพทย์เฉพาะระบบเพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาบริการทางการแพทย์ที่เป็นการรักษาโรคเฉพาะสาขามากขึ้น สามารถรองรับผู้ป่วยได้มากขึ้นกว่า 200 เตียง หลังจากนั้นได้มีการก่อสร้างอาคาร 15 ชั้น เพิ่มเติมเพื่อเชื่อมต่อกับกลุ่มอาคารเดิมโดยมีการพัฒนาปรับปรุงอาคารสถานที่และภูมิทัศน์บนพื้นที่กว่า 23 ไร่ มีพื้นที่ให้บริการผู้ป่วยได้วันละ 1,500 ถึง 1,800 คน และมีเตียงรองรับผู้ป่วยประมาณ 400 เตียง บนชั้นดาดฟ้าของตึก 15 ชั้น มีลานจอดเฮลิคอปเตอร์เพื่อรับและส่งต่อสำหรับผู้ป่วยฉุกเฉินในภูมิภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทย[1]
