จะขอท้าวความไปในอดีตที่ผ่านมา หลวงพ่อสนอง กตปุญโญ เจ้าอาวาสวัดสังฆทาน อ.เมือง จ.นนทบุรีได้พาคณะพระภิกษุซึ่งเป็นศิษย์ยานุศิษย์เดินธุดงค์ผ่านมาพบเห็นสถานที่นี้เป็นสถานที่ที่มีความวิเวกสงบร่มเย็นทั้งมีถ้ำให้ได้พอพักอาศัย จึงพักอยู่ ๒-๓ วัน แล้วก็ออกเดินทางต่อไป

ต่อมาภายหลังหลวงพ่อบุญส่ง ปิยธมโมซึ่งเป็นลูกศิษย์หลวงพ่อสนอง กตปุญโญ ได้พาหมู่คณะพระภิกษุเดินทางผ่านมาทางนี้อีกหลายหนจนกระทั่งปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๒๘โดยประมาณท่านเห็นว่าสถานที่นี้เป็นสถานที่ที่ดีไม่ห่างไกลหมู่บ้านจนเกินไปและเป็นสถานที่ที่วิเวกเหมาะเป็นสถานที่ปฏิบัติธรรมประจวบกับในช่วงนั้นไม่มีพระอยู่อาศัย จึงขออนุญาติหลวงพ่อสนอง กตปุญโญ ซึ่งเป็นครูบาอาจารย์เพื่อมาพัฒนาสถานที่แห่งนี้ซึ่งท่านก็อนุญาติด้วยดี

ประมาณปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๐ หลวงพ่อท่านคิดว่าการจำพรรษาอยู่ด้านบนเป็นการลำบากมากเพราะว่าเวลาที่มีญาติโยมจะทำบุญฟังเทศน์ฟังธรรมก็ต้องปีนบันไดลิงขึ้นไป เวลาพระจะไปบิณฑบาตก็ต้องปีนลงมา จึงคิดย้ายลงมาตั้งสำนักอยู่ข้างล่าง ประจวบกับมีนายทง เลขยัน หรือโยมถุง มีจิตศรัทธาถวายที่ให้จำนวนหนึ่ง นับตั้งแต่นั้นมาท่านจึงลงมาเป็นผู้นำบุญ พัฒนาสร้างกุฏิศาลาที่พักให้มีความสะดวกสบายขึ้น ในการสร้างกุฏิศาลานั้นท่านจะเลือกเอาตรงบริเวณที่เป็นเนินหินบ้างตรงที่ไม่มีต้นไม้บ้าง เพราะว่าท่านชอบธรรมชาติเป็นพระอนุรักษ์รูปหนึ่ง ดังจะเห็นว่าครั้งหนึ่ง(ประมาณปี พ.ศ.๒๕๓๓) ท่านร่วมกับชาวบ้านทำการบวชต้นไม้จำนวนหลายร้อยต้นโดยการจัดหาผ้าเหลืองผ้าจีวรนำไปผูกต้นไม้ยืนต้นเป็นสัญญลักษณ์ว่าต้นนี้บวชแล้วห้ามใครตัดโค่นเป็นต้น ท่านได้ทำการขุดสระเพื่อสำรองน้ำใช้หน้าแล้ง ปลูกต้นไม้เพื่อให้ความร่มเย็น(เดิมเป็นไร่นา)
