โครงการพัฒนาลุ่มน้ำคลองจำไหรและคลองหอยโข่งอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ อำเภอคลองหอยโข่ง จังหวัดสงขลา

หมู่ที่ 7 บ้านทุ่งยูง ตำบลคลองหอยโข่ง อำเภอคลองหอยโข่ง จังหวัดสงขล

3.ความเป็นมาของโครงการ
เมื่อประมาณปลายเดือนกันยายน พ.ศ. 2524 พ.ต.ณรงค์เดช นันทโพธิ์เดช ได้นำพระราชดำริเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาลุ่มน้ำคลองจำไหรและคลองหอยโข่ง มาให้สำนักชลประทานที่ 9 (จังหวัดชลบุรี) เพื่อพิจารณาในการจัดหาน้ำเพื่อการอุปโภค – บริโภค และการเกษตรกรรมให้กับราษฎรในพื้นที่ตำบลคลองหอยโข่งและบางส่วนของตำบลทุ่ง ลาน อำเภอคลองหอยโข่ง (ปัจจุบันแยกการปกครองเป็นอำเภอคลองหอยโข่ง) จังหวัดสงขลา ประกอบกับหน่วยทหารของ ร.5 พัน 4 ปัจจุบันเปลี่ยนเป็นกองพลพัฒนาที่ 4 (ค่ายรัตนพล) ได้ไปตั้งหน่วยอยู่ในเขตบริเวณดังกล่าว ซึ่งขาดแคลนน้ำในการอุปโภค – บริโภค และในกิจกรรมอย่างอื่นซึ่งต้องจัดหาน้ำให้กับหน่วยทหารใช้ควบคู่กันไปด้วย

4.วัตถุประสงค์
เพื่อการเกษตรกรรมและการอุปโภค-บริโภค ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากในฤดูแล้งปริมาณน้ำในเขตดังกล่าวขาดแคลนบ่อน้ำที่ขุดไว้ใช้ ตามหมู่บ้านต่าง ๆ จะมีความลึกเฉลี่ยประมาณ 12-15 ม. และมีปริมาณน้ำไม่เพียงพอจึงไม่สามารถทำการเกษตรกรรมได้ ทางฝ่ายทหารและทางราษฎรต้องการให้มีที่สำหรับการเกษตรกรรมในฤดูแล้ง


5.ผลการดำเนินการที่ผ่านมา
- ช่วยเหลือพื้นที่เพาะปลูกในเขตโครงการได้ 8,000 ไร่ ในฤดูแล้งได้ 4,000 ไร่
- จัดหาน้ำเพื่อการอุปโภค - บริโภค แก่ราษฎรและทหารค่ายรัตนพล จำนวน ประมาณ 500 ครอบครัว
