การศึกษาค้นคว้าอิสระในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของครูปฐมวัยของศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็ก สังกัดองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลกระเบื้องใหญ่ อำเภอพิมาย จังหวัดนครราชสีมา
ประชากรที่ทำการศึกษาในครั้งนี้ผู้ศึกษาดำเนินการศึกษาจากประชากรทั้งหมด ได้แก่ ของศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็ก สังกัดองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลกระเบื้องใหญ่ อำเภอพิมาย จังหวัดนครราชสีมาจำนวน 90 คน ใช้เครื่องมือในการรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม แบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูป เพื่อหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยและค่า เบี่ยงแบนมาตรฐาน
ผลการศึกษา พบว่า คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของครูปฐมวัยของศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กเล็ก โดยภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับ มาก เมื่อพิจารณารายด้านพบว่า มีเพียงด้านสุขภาพจิตและด้านการพัฒนาตนเองที่มีความคิดเห็นอยู่ในระดับ มากที่สุด นอกนั้นมีความคิดเห็นอยู่ในระดับ มาก เมื่อพิจารณาโดยลำดับค่าเฉลี่ย พบว่า ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด 3 ลำดับแรก คือ ด้าน การพัฒนาตนเอง รองลงมา คือ ด้านสุขภาพจิต และด้านสุขภาพกาย ตามลำดับ ส่วนด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด คือ ด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน
