ประวัติทูพีเอ็ม (2PM) เป็นวงบอยแบนด์จากโซล ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ ประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 7 คนคือ แจบอม (Jaebeom), นิชคุณ (Nichkhun), จุนซู (Junsu), แทคยอน (Taecyeon), จุนโฮ (Junho), อูยอง (Wooyoung) และ ชานซอง (Chansung)
วงทูพีเอ็มเป็นหนึ่งในวงย่อยซึ่งเป็นโปรเจกต์ของเจวายพีเรียกว่า “วันเดย์ (One Day)” มีสมาชิก 11 คน (10 คนมาจากโปรเจกต์รายการ Hot Blood Guys ยกเว้น ชางมิน จากวง 2AM ที่มาจากนักร้องนำวงดุริยางค์ทหารบก) โดยมีคอนเซ็ปต์ว่าใน 1 วันจะมี 2 ช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุด แบ่งออกเป็น ทูเอเอ็ม (2AM) และ ทูพีเอ็ม (2PM)
ทูพีเอ็ม (2PM) คือเวลาบ่ายสอง เป็นช่วงเวลาที่ร้อนแรงที่สุดของวัน จึงเป็นที่มาของชื่อชุดซิงเกิลแรกว่า “Hottest time of the day” ด้วยความที่ร้อนแรง แนวเพลงจะเป็นแนวแดนซ์ สนุกสนาน เฮฮาปาร์ตี้ เซ็กซี่และเท่ เน้นโชว์เพอร์ฟอร์แมนซ์ที่เต็มไปด้วยพลัง ส่วนอีกวงหนึ่งคือทูเอเอ็ม (2AM) คือเวลา ตีสอง เป็นเวลาที่สงบ เย็น สบาย และมีความพลิ้วไหวในอารมณ์สูง จึงมีแนวเพลงแบบบัลลาด ฟังสบายๆ ออกแนวหวานๆ ทั้งสองวงนี้เปรียบเหมือนเป็นวงพี่น้อง รักกันมาก สนิทกันมาก เรียกว่ามีจุดเด่นไปคนละแบบ
ทูพีเอ็มออกเพลงซิงเกิ้ลแรกคือ 10/10 มีการผสมผสานการเต้นรำแบบบี-บอย ตีลังกาผาดโผน หรือแนวอาโครบาติก(กายกรรมผาดโผน) มีจังหวะสนุกสนาน และเข้ากับเนื้อร้อง เช่น พูดถึงเรื่องด้านหลังของผู้หญิง พวกเราก็จะหันหลังโชว์ก้น เป็นการแสดงที่สนุกสนาน และแตกต่างจากบอยแบนด์ที่มีอยู่ในตอนนี้ ดังนั้นจึงง่ายกับการจดจำ

ทูพีเอ็ม ได้มาเป็นแขกรับเชิญให้กับวันเดอร์เกิลส์ ในคอนเสิร์ต “Wonder Girls The First Wonder Live In Bangkok” ที่กรุงเทพฯ หลังจากนั้นก็ไปร่วมทัวร์ในทัวร์ “The JYP Tour 2009″ มีขึ้นในวันที่ 5 มีนาคม ที่ ลอสแอนเจลิส, 6 มีนาคม ที่ ออเรนจ์เค้าท์ตี้ และ 8 มีนาคม 2552 ที่นิวยอร์ก ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยได้ร่วมบันทึกเทปกับทางเอ็มทีวี ในสตูดิโอที่นิวยอร์กอีกด้วย
