การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการใช้สารเคมีในการทำเกษตร ของชุมชนท้องถิ่นใน ตำบลอวน อำเภอปัว จังหวัดน่าน เพื่อประเมินพื้นที่เสี่ยงและความเปราะบางการใช้สารเคมีในการทำเกษตร ของชุมชนด้านความมั่นคงทางอาหาร ความปลอดภัย และความยั่งยืนในการทำเกษตรของชุมชนท้องถิ่นในตำบลอวน อำเภอปัว จังหวัดน่าน และเพื่อจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายต่อหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการลดการใช้สารเคมีทำเกษตรของชุมชนด้านความมั่นคงทางอาหาร ความปลอดภัย และความยั่งยืนในการทำเกษตรของชุมชนท้องถิ่นในตำบลอวน อำเภอปัว จังหวัดน่าน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาได้แก่ เกษตรกรในพื้นที่ จำนวน 379 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ, ค่าเฉลี่ย, ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการศึกษาดังนี้
