บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาครั้งนี้มุ่งสำรวจปัญหาการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของเด็กไทย ที่ใช้สื่อสารกับชาวต่างชาติ เพื่อเสนอแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหาด้านการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในโรงเรียนสตรีชัยภูมิ ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ จำนวน 100 คน ซึ่งเป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมตอนต้น จำนวน 50 คน และ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมตอนปลาย 50 คน
เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการสำรวจ เป็นแบบสอบถาม แบบประเมิน เกี่ยวกับการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ การสื่อสารกับชาวต่างชาติ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) การขาดความมั่นใจในตนเอง สืบเนื่องมาจากมีความรู้พื้นฐานทางด้านภาษาอังกฤษไม่เพียงพอสำหรับการสื่อสาร มีจำนวนคำศัพท์น้อย ขาดทักษะการใช้ภาษาในการสื่อสารในสภาพจริง 2) การขาดทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์และการให้เหตุผลสนับสนุนความคิดนอกจากนี้การวิจัยพบว่าการเรียนที่มีการลงมือปฏิบัติอย่างจริงจัง ต่อเนื่อง
และสม่ำเสมอภายใต้การให้คำแนะนำในการแก้ไขข้อบกพร่องเป็นรายบุคคลช่วยให้มีความมั่นใจ และพัฒนาความสามารถทางด้านการพูด และการฟัง
