ประวัติความเป็นมา
บ้านทับสวายพัฒนา ตำบลทับสวาย อำเภอห้วยแถลง จังหวัดนครราชสีมามีกลุ่มชนอยู่สองกลุ่ม ชนกลุ่มแรกอพยพมาจากบ้านหนองหว้า ตำบลนาโพธิ์ อำเภอพุทไธสง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ โดยการนำของนายเจ๊ก ดาวไธสง พร้อมเครือญาติ กลุ่มที่สอง อพยพมาจากบ้านเม็กคำ ตำบลปะหลาน อำเภอพยัคภูมิพิสัย จังหวัดมหาสารคาม โดยการนำของนายจันทร์ วรจันทร์ พร้อมด้วยญาติและเพื่อนบ้าน มีการจับจองพื้นที่กัน โดยการถากถางป่าเป็นพื้นที่อยู่อาศัย เกิดเป็นหมู่บ้านทับสวายขึ้นมา และมีครัวเรือนมากขึ้นโดยลำดับ เป็นชุมชนใหญ่จึงไดจัดตั้งเป็นหมู่บ้านอย่างเป็นทางการในวันที่ 12 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2468 จึงตั้งหมู่บ้านว่า (บ้านทับสวาย) หมู่ที่ 12 ตำบล งิ้ว อำเภอ พิมาย จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ.2524 มีการแยกหมู่บ้านออกเป็นบ้านทับสวายหมู่ 1 คือบ้านทับสวายและบ้านทับสวายพัฒนาซึ่งขึ้นตรงกับหมู่บ้านทับสวาย อำเภอห้วยแถลง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา
