การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการสูบบุหรี่ของวัยรุ่นชาย เพื่อพัฒนาแนวทางการป้องกันการสูบบุหรี่ในวัยรุ่นชายตำบลเขาหินซ้อน อำเภอพนมสารคาม จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา ผู้วิจัยใช้รูปแบบการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการและมีส่วนร่วมตั้งแต่ขั้นการศึกษาปัญหา การเก็บข้อมูล และการวางแผนพัฒนาแนวทางการป้องกันการสูบบุหรี่ของวัยรุ่นชาย การดำเนินงานตามแนวทางและประเมินผลโดยการใช้เทคนิค AIC วิธีการรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้การสนทนากลุ่ม 2 กลุ่ม และการสำรวจในกลุ่มตัวอย่าง วัยรุ่นชาย อายุ 15 – 18 ปี จำนวน 128 คน โดยรวบรวมวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทั้งเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพ
