กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นปีที่ 6 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2557 จำนวน 5 คน โดยเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง โดยจะเลือกเอากลุ่มที่มีเกรดเฉลี่ยภาษาอังกฤษที่เรียนเก่งมาก กลุ่มที่เรียนเก่ง กลุ่มที่เรียนปานกลาง และกลุ่มที่เรียนอ่อน โดยที่เลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนชั้นปีที่ 6 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 เพราะนักเรียนเหล่านี้เคยผ่านประสบการณ์การเรียนภาษาอังกฤษมาหลายปี ดังนั้นการเก็บข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างนี้จึงน่าจะได้ข้อมูลที่ชัดเจนมากที่สุด
