ในการวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาสมบัติเชิงความร้อนของถุงร้อนถุงเย็นที่สามารถย่อยสลายได้ทางชีวภาพ โดยการนำพอลิแลคติกแอซิดมาผสมกับยางธรรมชาติ และเติมสารเพิ่ม Heat distortion temperature เพื่อให้มีคุณสมบัติทนความร้อนได้ดียิ่งขึ้น จึงได้นำพอลิ(แลคติก แอซิด) มาผสมกับ ยางธรรมชาติดัดแปร เพื่อถูกนำมาใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบ โดยสารผสมดังกล่าวได้ถูกตรวจสอบสมบัติเชิงความร้อนด้วยเทคนิค ดิฟเฟอรเรนเชียลสแกนนิ่งแคลอริเมทรี (Differencial Scanning Calorimetry, DSC) และเทอร์โมกราวิเมททริกอะนาไลซิส (Thermogravimetric Analysis, TGA) โดยทำการปรับปรุงสมบัติเชิงความร้อนของถุงพลาสติกชีวภาพโดยการเติมสารเติมแต่งเพื่อเพิ่มสมบัติดังกล่าว อาทิเช่น Cloisite 20A, Cloisite 30B และ PolyOne ในปริมาณ 1, 3, 5 wt% สำหรับ Cloisite 20A, 1, 3 และ 5 wt% สำหรับ Cloisite 30B 10 และ20 wt% สำหรับ PolyOne โดยพบว่าฟิล์มพลาสติกชีวภาพ ที่ผสมสารเติมแต่งชนิด PolyOne ให้ค่าสมบัติ Heat distorsion temperature สูงที่สุดเป็น 80.47 องศาเซลเซียส นอกจากนี้จากผลการทดสอบ DSC พบว่าเทอร์โมแกรมจะปรากฏ melting peak จำนวน 2 peak ซึ่งสามารถสรุปได้ว่า เกิดกระบวนการหลอมตัวของผลึกที่มีขนาดที่แตกต่างกัน และ ค่าอุณหภูมิการหลอมตัวของถุงเย็นจะอยู่ในช่วง 145-155 องศาเซลเซียส และอุณหภูมิการหลอมตัวของถุงร้อนอยู่ในช่วง 144-156 องศาเซลเซียส
