จากการทดสอบโมเดลความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุของคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่ พบว่า ปัจจัยทางครอบครัวและปัจจัยทางสังคมมีอิทธิพลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุโดยปัจจัยทางด้านครอบครัวมีอิทธิพลทางตรงต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุมีอิทธิพลรวมสูงสุด (0.43) และตัวแปรปัจจัยทางด้านสังคม (0.79) โดยตัวแปรสาเหตุทั้งสองตัวร่วมกันอธิบายความแปรปรวนของคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุได้ร้อยละ 82 ทั้งนี้ โมเดลตามสมมติฐานมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ในเกณฑ์ดี จึงสรุปได้ว่าโมเดลมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ และผลจากการนำกิจกรรมส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่ พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุมีการผ่อนคลายความตึงเครียดและเกิดความสนุกสนานในการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม
