การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อการศึกษาวิเคราะห์ลวดลายผ้ามุดหมี่ของกลุ่มคนไทยเชื้อสายลาวครั่งในจังหวัดภาคกลางของประเทศไทยใน 5 จังหวัด ในประเด็นวิเคราะห์ลักษณะของลวดลาย การใช้สีของลวดลาย เปรียบเทียบความเหมือน ความต่างของลวดลายในแต่ละจังหวัด
กลุ่มตัวอย่าง เป็นผ้ามัดหมี่ใน 5 จังหวัด ได้แก่ จ. อุทัยธานี จ.ชัยนาท จ.สุพรรณบุรี จ.นครปฐม จ.กาญจนบุรี จังหวัดละ 20 ผืน ซึ่งได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม ในการเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม นำเสนอผลการวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย ประกอบกับการแสดงผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยตารางแสดงสถิติร้อยละ
การวิจัยปรากฏว่า
