นอกจากนี้ยังเป็นที่ประดิษฐานของ “พระพุทธมหามณีรัตนปฏิมากร หรือพระแก้ว” พระพุทธรูปคู่บ้านคู่เมืองของไทย พระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าฯ รัชกาลที่ 3 ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้า ฯ ให้สร้างขึ้นในพระอุโบสถ ระเบียงพระอุโบสถมีภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังเรื่องรามเกียรติ์ที่สวยงามและยาวที่สุดในโลก
