บริษัท ปตท. จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า ปตท.ในฐานะผู้บุกเบิกการใช้พลังงานทดแทนในประเทศไทยและส่งเสริมให้มีการพัฒนาคุณภาพผลิตภัณฑ์เพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อมมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง จึงได้สนับสนุนจัดหาเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานชีวภาพ เพื่อใช้ในการปฏิบัติการบินครั้งนี้ประมาณ 8 ตัน มูลค่ารวมประมาณ 2.5 ล้านบาท โดยได้นำเข้ามาจากบริษัท Sky NRG แห่งประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ ซึ่งเป็นผู้จัดหาเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานชีวภาพรายใหญ่ของโลก และเป็นผู้จัดหาเชื้อเพลิงชนิดเดียวกันนี้ให้กับสายการบินแห่งชาติเนเธอร์แลนด์ หรือ KLM ตลอดจนสายการบินอื่นๆ เช่น Finnair ที่ใช้เป็นเชื้อเพลิงบินในน่านฟ้ายุโรป ในปัจจุบันเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานชีวภาพดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนผสมระหว่างน้ำมัน Bio-Jet และน้ำมัน Jet A-1 ชนิดปกติ ในอัตราส่วน 50 ต่อ 50 ซึ่ง ปตท. ได้ตรวจสอบคุณภาพเรียบร้อยแล้ว โดยมีมาตรฐานถูกต้องตามมาตรฐานสากล ASTM D1655 หรือ American Society for Testing and Materials เพื่อความมั่นใจสำหรับการบินในทุกเที่ยวบิน
