ศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล หรือ “Digital Economy” กำลังเป็น “Hot Issue” ในประเทศไทยและทั่วโลก เนื่องจากปรากฏการณ์ “Digital Transformation” และ “Internet of Thing” กำลังเข้ามาเปลี่ยนแปลงโลก โดยในโลกเสมือน (Virtual World) การมาถึงยุค S-M-I-C (Social–Mobile–Information–Cloud) กำลังมีผลกระทบต่อองค์กรธุรกิจต่างๆ ทั่วโลก จากความเปลี่ยนแปลงของผู้บริโภค ประกอบกับโลกแห่งความเป็นจริง (Real World) ดูรูปที่ 1 การมาถึงของ Internet of Thing ที่ทุกอุปกรณ์มีการเชื่อมต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ต ไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็น PC, Notebook หรือ Smart Phone อีกต่อไป แต่อาจเป็น นาฬิกา, TV, ตู้เย็น แม้กระทั่งรองเท้า ก็สามารถเชื่อมต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ตได้ทั้งสิ้น

นโยบายเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล จึงเป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่เราต้องให้ความสนใจในวันนี้และอนาคต เราจึงจำเป็นต้องวิเคราะห์เจาะลึกนโยบายเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลใน 4 คำถามดังนี้
