กระทรวงแรงงาน เผย 7 อาชีพที่มีความต้องการใน AEC ชูคนไทยมีความถนัด ด้านอาชีพนวดแผนไทย - เชฟ เป็นโอกาสสำคัญได้ทำงานในมาเลเซีย
วันที่ 30 เมษายน 2557 นายสุเมธ มโหสถ รองปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า จากผลการศึกษาวิเคราะห์และแนวโน้มแรงงานในโครงการเตรียมการรองรับการเคลื่อนย้ายของแรงงานสู่การเป็นประชาคมอาเซียน (AEC) พบว่า หากไทยมีความต้องการขยายผลการทางด้านแรงงานใน AEC นั้น อาชีพที่มีความเหมาะสมและมีความพร้อม มี 7 อาชีพที่คนไทยถนัดและได้รับการยอมรับในเรื่องฝีมือจากนานาประเทศ รวมทั้งโอกาสในการเคลื่อนย้ายแรงงานมีความต้องการในประเทศอาเซียน อาทิ ประเทศสิงคโปร์ บรูไน และมาเลเซีย

โดย 7 อาชีพ ที่มีความต้องการใน AEC ได้แก่
1. ช่างเชื่อมแม็ก คือ การเชื่อมด้วยมือหรือระบบกึ่งอัตโนมัติ
2. ช่างเชื่อมทิก การเชื่อมเหล็กกล้าคาร์บอนหรือสเตนเลส ด้วยมือหรือกึ่งอัตโนมัติ
3. ช่างเชื่อมท่อโพลิเอทิลีนความหนาแน่นสูง (HDPE)
4. ช่างประกอบท่อ การประกอบ ติดตั้งท่อเหล็กกล้าภายใต้มาตรฐานที่กำหนด
5. ช่างไม้ก่อสร้าง
6. พนักงานนวดไทย
7. ผู้ประกอบอาหารไทย

นายสุเมธ กล่าวว่า อาชีพผู้ประกอบการอาหาร พนักงานบริการในร้านอาหาร และการนวดแผนไทย แรงงานด้านนี้มีโอกาสเคลื่อนย้ายไปทำงานในประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยรัฐบาลและสมาคมกายภาพบำบัด (Malaysian Society of Complementary Therapist : MSCT) กำหนดอาชีพนวดแผนไทย ผู้ที่จะเข้าไปทำงานต้องผ่านการฝึกอบรม 772 ชั่วโมง และผ่านการทดสอบมาตรฐานของไทย ในระดับ 2 จากสถาบันหรือศูนย์พัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน หรือหน่วยงานของกระทรวงแรงงาน จึงเป็นโอกาสสำหรับแรงงานไทยอีกด้วย
