ประวัติความเป็นมา
บริษัท ดั๊บเบิ้ล เอ (1991) จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้จดทะเบียนจัดตั้งเป็นบริษัท ตั้งแต่ 8 สิงหาคม 2534 โดยประกอบธุรกิจหลักประเภทผู้ผลิตและจำหน่ายเยื่อกระดาษและกระดาษพิมพ์เขียน และได้จดทะเบียนแปรสภาพเป็นบริษัทมหาชนจำกัด เมื่อวันที่ 18 กุมภาพันธ์ 2537 และจดทะเบียนเปลี่ยนชื่อจากบริษัท แอ๊ดวานซ์ อะโกร จำกัด (มหาชน) เป็น บริษัท ดั๊บเบิ้ล เอ (1991) จำกัด (มหาชน) เมื่อวันที่ 3 พฤษภาคม 2553 ปัจจุบันมีทุนจดทะเบียนเป็น 6,300,000,000 บาท และมีทุนชำระแล้วเป็น 5,323,831,080 บาท
ในปี 2541
ได้จัดตั้ง บริษัท เอ.เอ.พัลพ์ มิลล์ 2 จำกัด เพื่อประกอบกิจการประเภทผลิตเยื่อกระดาษ จากไม้ยูคาลิปตัส มีกำลังผลิตประมาณ 252,000 ตันต่อปี และเป็นผู้ขายเยื่อกระดาษทั้งภายในและภายนอกประเทศ ซึ่งได้ส่งออกเยื่อกระดาษสู่ประเทศต่าง ๆ เช่น จีน เกาหลี และออสเตรเลีย เป็นต้น
ในปี 2545
ได้จัดตั้ง บริษัท ดั๊บเบิ้ล เอ ก๊อปปี้ เซ็นเตอร์ จำกัด ขึ้นเพื่อจัดทำโครงการ Double A Copy Center อย่างเต็มรูปแบบ และขยายฐานการใช้กระดาษ สู่ผู้ค้ารายย่อยด้วยอีกทางหนึ่ง โดยมีการจัดการโครงการร่วมกับศูนย์ถ่ายเอกสารรายย่อย และมีการโฆษณาประชาสัมพันธ์ โครงการดังกล่าวอย่างแพร่หลาย ซึ่งได้รับการตอบรับจากผู้ประกอบการศูนย์ถ่ายเอกสารรายย่อย และประชาชนทั่วไปในการเข้าร่วมโครงการเป็นอย่างมาก
ในปี 2546
ได้จัดตั้ง บริษัท เอ เอ เปเปอร์ แอนด์ สเตชั่นเนอรี่ จำกัด เพื่อดูแลและจำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์กระดาษ เครื่องเขียน ให้กับกลุ่มลูกค้าในประเทศ พร้อมทั้งจัดกิจกรรมและส่งเสริมการขาย เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของตลาด และพัฒนาการจัดจำหน่ายให้สามารถเข้าถึงกลุ่มผู้บริโภคอย่างทั่วถึง
ในปี 2547
ได้จัดตั้ง บริษัท 99 กรุ๊ป เทรดดิ้ง เซ็นเตอร์ จำกัด เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนจำหน่ายกระดาษพิมพ์เขียนในประเทศ ซึ่งปรากฏว่าทำให้ยอดขายกระดาษในประเทศปี 2548 สูงขึ้นกว่าปี 2547 อย่างเห็นได้ชัด
ในปี 2548
ที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการบริษัทครั้งที่ 2/2548 มีมติอนุมัติให้บริษัทเข้าซื้อสินทรัพย์ทั้งหมดของบริษัทย่อยบริษัทหนึ่ง คือ บริษัท เอ.เอ.พัลพ์ มิลล์ 2 จำกัด ซึ่งฝ่ายจัดการได้ดำเนินการซื้อขายตามมติดังกล่าวแล้ว โดยมีการโอนทรัพย์สินแล้วเสร็จ เมื่อวันที่ 10 กุมภาพันธ์ 2549
นอกจากนี้ ในปี 2548 บริษัท แอ๊ดวานซ์ อะโกร โฮลดิ้ง จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทย่อยได้มีการต่อสัญญาร่วมทุนโครงการหินปูนสังเคราะห์ (PCC) มีรายละเอียดโดยสรุป คือ บริษัท แอ๊ดวานซ์ อะโกร โฮลดิ้ง จำกัด กับ บริษัท สเปเชียลตี้ มิเนอร์รัล (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ได้มีการต่อสัญญาร่วมทุนในโครงการผลิตหินปูนสังเคราะห์ (PCC) ซึ่งสัญญาจะหมดอายุลงในวันที่ 21 พฤศจิกายน พ. ศ. 2548 ภายใต้การดำเนินงานของบริษัทร่วมทุน คือ บริษัท ไฮ-เทค สเปเชียลตี้ มิเนอรัล จำกัด ซึ่งมีทุนจดทะเบียน 40 ล้านบาท โดย บริษัท แอ๊ดวานซ์ อะโกร โฮลดิ้ง จำกัด ถือหุ้นในสัดส่วนร้อยละ 51 และบริษัท สเปเชียลตี้ มิเนอรัล (ประเทศไทย)
